This hands-on position is responsible for fabricating and refurbishing aircraft interior cabinetry.

Responsibilities of this position include:                                                                                                                                

  • Disassemble and reassemble aircraft cabinetry without supervision
  • Ability to read shop drawings and blue prints and train others
  • Ability to fabricate cabinetry from scratch and train others
  • Strip laminate or veneer coverings from existing cabinets without supervision and without damaging substrates
  • Cut, fit and trim laminate or veneer coverings as required without supervision and train others
  • Repair damaged cabinetry as directed by the Cabinet Shop Supervisor or Cabinet Crew Chief
  • Vast knowledge of Elliott Aviation work instructions and process’
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job requirements

Top candidates will possess excellent attention to detail, knowledge of shop tools, have a positive attitude and good verbal communication skills.

Other requirements include:

  • Must be willing to manage a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

  • Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public

  • Must possess excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements with in defined boundaries

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 4 plus years Aircraft cabinet and woodworking experience required
